Danny Boy!

In a million years would you figure that this guy would be an impact player at a skill position for arguably the best team in the National Football League?  Me Neither.

Meet Danny Woodhead.  A guy with no D1 scholarship offers.  So he goes and plays 4 years at a D2 school.  And he wins the D2 Heisman.  Twice.  And set the all time record for yards at any division in the NCAA.

Danny Woodhead, drafted by the Jets, blew out an ACL, made the practice squad the following year and then the year after that got cut by the Rex Ryan Jets.

And now he plays for their arch nemesis, the New England Patriots, lighting it up on a weekly basis.

Sports Illustrated did a special interest piece on Danny Woodhead that was posted on their website today.  I recommend the article to anyone.  Totally a great story.  Click this link for the story: SI.com: Danny Woodhead
