In a stunning development this afternoon, Glass Joe has been elected to the Boxing Hall of Fame. Joe, a Mike Tyson's Punch Out legend who came back in the most recent version of Punch Out for Wii, was reached at his home in Paris this afternoon and had this to offer, "Magnifique!"
This shock induction has left many of his contemporaries absolutely stunned. Soda Popinski, through a translator, had this to offer, "How does a clown like Glass Joe get in the Hall and yet legends like Don Flamenco and Bald Bull are left to wait until next year?"
Glass Joe's inclusion into the Hall of Fame has also sent shockwaves through the Rocky Balboa camp, who have had a difficult day of it. As you know, news broke on this site that Balboa had been elected to the Hall, only for a later retraction to be issued due to faulty journalism.
